Ethiopia’s Path to Net Zero and Climate-Resilient Development: Policies, Costs, and Co-benefits

Bassi & Mr. Marco Guzzetti (KnowlEdge Srl), who are participating as partners in the MATS project, have recently contributed to this study that explores the corollary benefits for economic development and environmental sustainability of a low-carbon, climate-resilient, green pathway for Ethiopia—a pathway that is consistent with attaining the country’s medium- and long-term development goals.
The study demonstrates how decarbonization and resilience strategies—notably centered on land use and energy policies—are vital to generating climate and development co-benefits, including on agricultural productivity.
