The Transnational Institute is an international research and advocacy institute committed to building a just, democratic and sustainable planet. For almost 50 years TNI has served as a unique nexus between social movements, engaged scholars and policy makers. TNI’s Agrarian and Environmental Justice programme brings together research and analysis on the collective struggles of rural working people, to democratise access, ownership and control of land, water and other natural resources. It works closely with local, national and global alliances of mall scale farmers, fisherfolk and marginalised rural working people. TNI’s Trade and Investment Programme provides analysis on the social and ecological impacts of trade and investment agreements and proposes alternative policies that prioritise people’s rights
